Just wanted to post this thread for people who are thinking about moving to Phoenix and want to know if it's GLL-friendly.
This advice is based mainly on me and Richie. We've both been here almost a year. I have 10 Phoenix lays and Richie has 19 Phoenix lays. I had 1 lay (so I'm at 11 total now) and he had 0 lays when we moved here, so this was the rookie year for both of us.
Between the 2 of us, we've probably done almost 1000 Phoenix approaches between daytime and nighttime. I've probably done about 250-300 between daytime and nighttime, Richie has probably done about 600-700.
It also includes some stuff from Sam, who is GLL but is a doctor so he doesn't really have the free time to hustle for pussy like me and Richie do.
All 3 of us would probably agree with everything I say here.
THOUGHTS
1. The 2 nightlife areas with the most hot girls are Old Town in Scottsdale (mainly Thursday-Sunday) and Mill Ave in Tempe (mainly Thursday-Saturday). Westgate and Downtown are supposed to be ok, but we haven't gone there much because they're far from where we live.
2. The areas with the most hot girls during the day: ASU Campus, Tempe Marketplace, Fashion Square, grocery stores around Old Town Scottsdale and ASU Campus-Tempe, Biltmore area, Chandler Fashion Center (mainly on the weekend), Arrowhead Mall (mainly on the weekend), ASU-Downtown Campus (sorta), Scottsdale Community College.
If you're looking to see swarms of hot girls (as in, 50+ in an hour of walking around), go to ASU campus from 10 am - 3 pm Monday-Thursday, Mill or Old Town on Friday or Saturday night, or Old Town on Sunday during the day.
3. It's not as hot/dry as I thought it would be. Everywhere has air conditioning, most parking is covered so the car doesn't sit in the sun and boil, etc. But if you're coming from a cold area, prepare for an adjustment. On the plus side, it doesn't ever get cold here and it's sunny every day.
4. Phoenix is not walkable AT ALL. If you're hoping to live somewhere with an urban, walkable feel where you just spontaneously run into girls throughout the day as part of a "player lifestyle", this ain't it.
5. Phoenix is SUPER cheap as long as you don't live in Scottsdale. Richie paid $350 for rent and utilities at his last place. I pay about $750 for rent and utilities, but that's because I only have 1 roommate and I live in a nice ASU-oriented, party kid apartment complex.
Most parts of Phoenix are also very new and nice-looking. Almost no homeless people, no trash, the roads are really good and wide and on a perfect grid system, parking is easy and almost always free, traffic is very low for a big city, etc.
6. There are TONS of hot girls here, and they love to dress skimpy / slutty.
7. However, they're not actually that slutty. The hot girls mainly either go to ASU (where there are social consequences for being too slutty + they already know tons of guys so cold approach doesn't work too well) or are working a grown-up job and don't get too crazy anymore.
From what I've heard, Phoenix is pretty different from somewhere like LA or NYC where a bunch of hot girls go to "live out their youth / pursue their dreams" for a few years, drink and do drugs, in a big anonymous city without a college social network, it's very normal to bang older guys, etc. AKA perfect recipe for banging hot young slutty girls.
8. The competition is higher than anywhere else I've been. Especially around ASU or Old Town. Expect to see a lot of muscular, tan, tattooed, social, edgy-dressed guys who at least sometimes hit on girls. I'd say the competition is higher here than LA, Vegas, NYC, Boston, Charlotte, etc. (either me or Richie has done shit in all of those places)
9. Most of the 29 Phoenix girls that Richie and I have banged (between the 2 of us) were visiting from out of town, just moved here, are 30+, work a random job where they don't have a ton of cool friends, ASU girls still here over the summer and all their friends are gone, etc.
A decent number of them have been hot. But the hot ones weren't usually "in-crowd" if you know what I mean.
10. Tinder and POF both work pretty well out here. I have pretty good pics, Richie has decent ones. I've gotten 5 lays from Tinder / POF (all of them in the 7-9 range) and Richie has had about 7-8 lays (mostly average or below-average since his pics weren't that good and he was banging anything he could get since he had no experience).
Seems to work especially well during the summer, since that's when things are slow around here and lot of cute girls are looking for something to do.
ADVICE
1. If you're in high school, go to ASU and join a fraternity. You'll meet a ton of hot girls, you'll be "1 of us", etc.
2. If you're post-college, Phoenix is good but not ideal if you have super-high goals like me and Richie (bang a ton of in-crowd 10's, etc.).
You'll probably want somewhere like LA or NYC (maybe Vegas or Miami?) where it's more walkable if you live in the right part, and where there's plenty of hot girls in party mode but aren't in college (AKA no social consequences, not as many guy options).
3. If you're post-college and want to make Phoenix work, there's 3 main things you could do:
A. Live somewhere that's easy walking distance of Mill, that has lots of parties, and where you'll meet tons of hot party-hard people that are your neighbors (AKA West 6th, The Hub). I kinda did this by living at the Domain, but it's not walking distance of Mill and people don't party as much here anymore. It is cheaper than West 6th or The Hub though.
Through your neighbors, get yourself invited to some "cool kid" parties. Get to know a bunch of hot girls / cool guys as friends (don't hit on the girls yet). If you can bring hot girls, you will always have an invite to the cool parties. Otherwise, as a guy you're out of luck. Don't be like me and Richie and hit on all the hot girls right off the bat and scare them off lol.
B. Live somewhere walking distance of Old Town (pretty expensive). Get a job as bartender / bouncer at Old Town (pretty hard if you don't have experience or know people). Have your social circle be the other people who work at Old Town, and party with them. Other than that, hit on girls and try to bring them back to your place.
C. Live somewhere like Glendale that doesn't have as many hot girls (but still a decent number), where the local hot girls all work boring jobs / go to community college / still live with their parents, and where the local guys are total scrubs. Clean up.
Out of these, the 3rd option is probably the most workable since that would be really cheap, wouldn't require much social skills beyond getting pro pics for Tinder and cold approaching, etc.
To get a place within legit walking distance of Old Town or Mill costs about the same as living in Santa Monica / West Hollywood, so you might as well just live in LA.
