Firecracker Gets Fit - by: Firecracker

Yo,

I'm starting a training log on here because I figured it would be a good way to keep myself accountable and motivated. I'm a beginner so right now my main goals are to make getting to the gym into a habit and to get more comfortable with the exercises, improve my form, etc. Ultimately, I would probably be satisfied with a weight of 180-190 lbs ( 82-86 kg) with 8-12% body fat, but that may change as I start seeing results. Starting out, I'm going to be following Victor Pride's Body of a Spartan routine.

Height: 6 ft (183 cm) Weight: 185 lbs (84 kg) Body Fat: ~15-20%
I've posted pics of my current physique and will post progress pics periodically.

Today 7/25/16:
Bench press - 5 sets with increasing weight and decreasing reps each set
20X55 lbs, 15X65, 12X75, 8X95, 5X105
Chin-ups - 3 sets to failure (assisted sets until i can do them on my own)
7 reps, 5, 3
Deadlifts - 5 sets with increasing weight and decreasing reps each set
20X55 lbs, 15X65, 12X75, 8X95, 5X110
Close-grip bench press - 5 sets with increasing weight and decreasing reps each set
20X55 lbs, 15X65, 12X75, 6X95, 4X95
Diamond push-ups - 3 sets to failure
I was so worn out at this point that I could only do 2 per set without cheating

I am essentially a total noob at this whole fitness thing so if anyone is reading this and would like to offer up any insights on training, diet, or just how to go about this better, please feel free to comment. Thanks!
