Hello everyone, (first off am new to parties and it was my first today,am a first year in a foreign country so no friends yet.)(This was the 2nd day of college events known as frosh week.)
I need some very serious and clear advice on parties.
The thing is I really don't know what I'm supposed to do in them.Telling me to talk to people just doesn't seem clear enough and no one seems to give a damn when I do,I feel like such a weirdo who's trying too hard.
1-I don't know,first,it's intimidating because everybody is just in a group like 3 girls with 2 guys sitting somewhere or 4 girls with 1 guy sitting somewhere else.Or 5 girls together and 0 guys.
Am I supposed to approach these,is it even right to do so?How do I do so if yes? what to say and what not to? what is the goal?
I can do whatever u tell (I think),I did AA for 1st 3 weeks (didn't update log) but still I'm worried about my reputation and whenever I talk to a chick with her friend u know the normal get to know each other conversation like what major u in and stuff feels like I'm turning them off.
What do I talk about?
2-The dance floor is even worst,I thought it was ok to get close to a girl and dance with her apparently not,got in awkward situations twice cause of that (rejected politely).
Is it ok to dance alone? or is it dumb as hell and better not to dance at all?
just what am I supposed to focus on.I just want clear step by step guidance on what I'm supposed to focus on in parties and how to get it.I just lack the common sense of parties because I'm new to them damn it.
Please save my college life! I'm ready to apply anything guys say,I just happen to be a complete dunce with no social common sense when it comes to parties.
