Hey guys, I just want to share the benefits of cold brewed coffee and why it can be beneficial to a lot of guys.
Cold Brewing Benefits
* Fast way to make several days worth of coffee. No need to measure out coffee grounds everyday and wait on the brew. I personally don’t like hot coffee and have to wait for hot coffee to chill down in my freezer.
* Low acidity level: Some of the older guys on the board might not be able to drink coffee because it’s too acidic. Cold brew to the rescue!
* More caffeine! While heat extracts caffeine quicker, cold brewing’s long steep time (which you can vary) makes it more caffeinated.
* Super cheap: After I do my initial cold brew I reuse the grounds once more. That way I get more mileage out of my grounds!
How To Do It
How I Do It
I use a toddy system and steep the entire bag for 24 hours. For the second steep I do that one for 48 hours. I then cut my concentrate with water at a 1:1 ratio. Everybody is different but at least for me my concentrate lasts for about 1.5 weeks.
