Hey guys, I haven't been on this forum in a very long time, I pretty much dropped off most social media and forum sites and started focusing on fitness and also going out/seeking adventure/being more social/etc.
I've never really got myself into that great of shape before (Never below 19% bf) even though I had been working out since I was 18 (about eight years). My weigh has always fluctuated between 190lbs to 220lbs. I made a couple half ass attempts at the GLL diet in the past when I was on the forum, just as I had made a couple half ass attempts at every possible diet and/or workout program out there.
I've lost 70lbs overall. Last year my heaviest was 220-225lbs, now I usually weigh 160lbs (Give/Take a couple lbs).
I used iifym.com and the MyFitnessPal app to fine tune my calories and shit. I adjusted the portions of the GLL Diet to fit what I needed to work for me and my workouts. The only changes I made to the diet was switching out the omelette for more chicken or a protein shake. I also made green juices (90% Vegetables/10% Fruit) with my juicer and drank a lot of those instead of the Barlean's green powder (which I do enjoy and occasionally supplement with).
My advice is to anyone struggling with it like I was, would be to just follow the blueprint that Chris already worked out for you. If you follow it and just put in the effort, it's a fuckin' joke, it really is. Eat the food, take the supplements and smash your fasted cardio workouts day in, day out then after a very short period of time the weight is coming off and noticeably too.
I like to switch up my diet from time to time, a lot of experimenting with it now that I'm more educated and interested in nutrition/fitness but the GLL Diet is always my go-to eating plan. I don't understand the "lose 1-2 lbs per week" thing, I guess that's the healthiest way, or the "don't expect to see results for 2-3 weeks" because every time to get on the GLL Diet program I can lose 1-2lbs a day or 5-10lbs that first week and I don't even have much to lose these days.
Obviously it's not a magic pill, the discipline and hard work (like hardcore) I put into the GLL Diet is what makes it work but you guys are on this site because you're striving to become better just like me so you should have the desire and drive to put in the same level of work.
Anyway, I wanted to thank Chris for this diet. It's certainly spearheaded a huge lifestyle change for me. Pretty much helped turn my life around. I can't thank enough! This shit is awesome!
Summer/Festival season is approaching so I've got to put my head down and get shredded as fuck so I can be a walking spectacle in all these dope social settings.
Thanks bud and good luck to all.
