Ok so I've been using Tinder on and off for like 3 years now. I've watched the app kind of evolve. in the beginning, before plus, it was just kinda straightforward. You went on, swiped, and the app was based off your set parameters and when you and other users last logged on. Now it's a little different. You have plus users and the algorithm seems to work different.
Step 1
Have all your pics and profile bullshit in line. This guide is only to understand the logistics of Tinder.
Step 2
Create an account (duh)
Step 3
Set your search/discovery preferences. Most people will say in the beginning to make them broad, then narrow them down later on. No. Start with a smaller search area. I'll start with 10-20 miles initially and make my preferred age range narrower. Why? We're looking to not blow our load right away. You want the best possible matches right away that have the greatest likelihood of actually meeting up. i will explain this later on.
Step 4
Start swiping. I don't believe in playing the numbers game on Tinder. My pics are good and my profile is on point. I can usually get 20-25 matches in my "first wave." I only swipe girls I actually am attracted to. Not the first 100 that pop up. There is also a science to this. Those women who appear early on have either recently logged on and/or swiped right to your pic. In the beginning you have a fresh pool.
Day 1: You'll probably have little to no matches at all. Just swipe your full 100 quota and use your super-like on a "unicorn." Why does this happen.... Well it appears the Tinder algorithm has to get you in the system. The more you swipe right, the more of those women you appear in front of. Day 1 I'll usually swipe some in the morning, some in the afternoon, and then the bulk and remainder at night.
Days 2-3: This is where the magic happens. This is where I start getting the bulk of my matches. Now you've been populated in the system. Yesterday was day 3 for me and I think I picked up like 7-8 matches and like 15-18 matches on day 2. It is very important at this time to swipe morning, afternoon, and then the bulk at night. Use all your 1090 matches. Use your super-like each day! This is important. You get one every 24 hours, use it!
Days 4-5: If you've been doing everything so far you'll notice day 4-5 and on kinda slows down. Now you're getting into the old pool. Meaning, users who have not recently logged on. It seems to be the most active members come up first.
Step 5
Get your numbers. There is no reason to chat for more than 10-12 messages until you go to this part. The easiest line to get a number:
"You seem really cool. This app doesn't always notify me when I get a message. Let's exchange numbers and talk that way
Boom. Done. I've had a 90% success rate with that line. By day 5-6 you should have all the numbers you need. Try every girl you matched with that you're interested in.
Step 6
Once you've gotten all the contacts you're going to get. Delete the app. Yup. That's right. Delete it. Wait a couple days. Work on the matches that you got the digits for. Then in about 5-7 days, reactivate if you need to.
One word of caution, be sure you don't swipe the girls you're currently talking to. If they come across you again and ask just say Tinder was glitched and you had to delete and reinstall.
