Very long story short, missed out on social life in college. Not even sure why but for some reason, I ended up at a university full of snobby kids and the only friends I really ended up making were kids in religious ministries on campus but they looked down on the whole partying and chasing girls thing.
I've gotten laid a few times after graduating college but I've always wanted to have a social life, fit in to a big crowd, have a large group of friends to hang out with, and a large group of people to go out to the clubs, bars, and concerts with. Just belong to some social circle instead of always being a lonely misfit.
After much thought, I did some research on cities that are great for post grads and cities like Austin, Chicago, Nashville, Boston, Minneapolis, Portland, and Durham kept coming up.
I have decided that since my job is flexible in terms of location, I am going to look to moving to one of these cities soon.
My question is, how is social life in a city loaded with 20 somethings going to compare to social life in university?
I know people said it was supposed to be easy in college but I felt like at my university, if you were not in Greek Life or dedicated to one major campus organization, it was very easy to be lonely.
